One Christmas Morn

We awoke to a bleak Christmas day. Fog had stolen the magic away. Dawn was broken and could not rise up to greet us. Still we sang out joyfully with gratitude to the heavens. Our song was heard, the fog lifted, and morning’s enchantment poured down golden. The word is not spelled 'aloud' it is spelled allowed. IPad self corrects if you get one letter wrong it throws in its own assumption. That's my story and I am sticking to it.

The sun shone brightly in each and every heart. And cleared a way for a day to be filled with no more dismay. That's the way everyday should start. Peace. :) Gotta love Cat Stevens.

Wow! Amazing! I thought writing lines with so many syllables would be more like prose than poetry - But I thought wrong!

You are still getting lots of comments. I will say one thing though...there are a lot of great looking guys with platinum blond hair on PoetrySoup. Just judging by the people commenting on your poem. Just saying.

This is great, Andrea, for Theme #1. Definitely a visual of "Morning Has Broken" from a negative broken to a positive one! Love it! Good luck in the contest. Sandra
