One Caring Nurse

children of World War two soldiers were patients
spending hour after hour in the polio ward of a hospital
a truly caring nurse invented a board game to engage them
she made sure they could play even if they were too young to read
all they had to do was recognize colors
They did not even have to name them
we know this game today as Candyland
