One Call

One simple Call
To end it all
To make my heart break
As she says it was fake
Her heart no longer needs me
and now i can see

Her.

In my mind so clear
As i feel that one little tear

drifting, drifting, drifting

down my cheek
tears enough to fill a creek.

drifting, drifting, drifting

She asks me if I'm alright
i hug myself tight
how could i be?
How can't she see?

That something so small
Could alter it all
My reality breaks
For its more then my heart can take.

Drifting, drifting, drifting

Further from light, from warmth, from love
looking down from above
at the ground, so welcoming so real
just like the way it feels

drifting, drifting, drifting
Down towards the ground
Landing with a pound

drifting, drifting, drifting

Long gone is consciousness
Here to stay is helplessness

The words she lets loose
only tightens the noose

The answer has changed

Drifting, drifting, drifting

I dont feel that way anymore

Drifting, drifting, drifting

One simple call
to end it all
To make my heart break
stuck in check mate
No way to change her mind
as i am left behind
on with life she goes
i am left with my woes

Just drifting, drifting, drifting

I never quite fully understood what heart ache felt like until recently, and for this I feel for the sorrow portrayed throughout this poem. I'm reminded yet again how much poetry can really help one express emotions rather than simply talking. lovely writing. *hug*
