One and Only Love

Shape me in you wide embrace
let me be the tattered lace
 of every heartache I replace
 your one and only love.

 Guilty for only the best
on your shoulder I shall rest
to the world I must confess
 your one and only love.

 Twinkle like a merigold
for I know stories ever told
to my heart they've been sold
 your one and only love.

I shall grow up one day
you know I'll go and can not stay
but my heart wont go astray
 your one and only love.

You have kept me well and true
forever I'll be loved by you
when so long it was just us two
 your one and only love.

Now I'm the birdie you set free,
one day I'll come home to thee
as it was, mommy and me
 your one and only love.

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.
