One

Even though you are not dead
I am living with your ghost
It’s always this time of year
That I miss you most

In every breeze I smell your scent
In every laugh I hear you
I see your face in every smile
Oh, how I long to be near you

Sparkling prisms of character
So filled with honesty
In your deepest eyes so blue
Dwells the majestic sea

Your beauty could brighten any night
For it shines bright as the sun
My heart will not settle
It will not rest
Until with you it’s one
