One
They say that "one is the loneliest number"
But I'll tell you that I disagree
For things would be so much different
If there were two you see.
We have but one life on this earth to live
How tiring it would be to live two
Two lives would require you so much to give
There'd be double the work to do.
There is only one true God
On this most of us agree
Can you imagine the conflict caused
If there were two or three?
We have just one nose and one face
just one mind and just one heart
God knew what he was doing
Had a plan for each and every part
There is only one authentic you
You are truly an original
Trust in yourself and know who you are
For you are an amazing individual.
There's times that we may want to share
That's when it's better when there's more.
When sharing with friends or family
it's better when there's three or four
One is not a lonely number at all
As this poem tells, my friend
But sometimes more can be better
And now this poem comes to an end.
