Once Upon a Time Fairy Tale

Listen to poem:
Once Upon a Time Fairy Tale David J Walker She didn’t ask for them back The days The nights The afternoons alone In that farmer's field And what would it yield But an emptiness A nothingness to be filled in the blank spaces we once Occupied in the closeness Of lovers in the same places Of a shared time and a certain oneness And perhaps it’s all we Will ever have to know That it was real In a once upon a time Fairy tale
