Once Upon a Tale

Once upon a tale
in romantic tales of old
was a time
for holding hands

Starting our lives,being bold
enjoying of genies and wizards
and shining pots of gold
so very long ago

A moon in June
always rhymed with tune,
time always ended
ever too soon

Morning became evening
long ere it should
delay, we tried, if only we could,
so very long ago

We seek the wizardry
of olden then
to stir that magic
unknown to men

Was there ever a pot of gold
to recall our fortune
as once we were told,
that was so very long ago
