Once a Day I

Day that once today that is My once a day poem of how I feel Day that once today that is A poem to express my day today Felt somewhat low and out of sorts Dismayed in my mind killing mental time Torturing my writings by reading better than mine theirs Today has been a day just like any other when I compare Day that once was the yesterday to today that is My daily journey writing displaying my feelings Today is a day where a journey never ends Just like at night when the light in our eyes shift That adjustment that period that moment of disbelief To trust in the day to end with a strong heart beat My day today is once as it was a lonesome day expressing myself Day that once was just a day another one tomorrow comes May I drift away? Into a sun streaked sky or moon beam lunar carpet ride… Maybe in thought just my dream of imagination left to me If only there was the once a day that came to save the belief Then maybe the next time I write I shall not feel the same This day as it once was not so Yesterday is gone and tomorrow has not been yet claimed As today is always the only day a true decision is made

For me to be able to openly express my abilities is what I strive to accomplish. In life I have not always been able to speak about my days or my past in a place of safety or understanding. At least I have such amazing comments to remind me that I have a special way of being that is talented when writing. XO Thanks again Freddie!

It is great that you can express your feelings through you pen and you do it so well.. It is a great release.. but these are temporary thoughts hopefully and tomorrow is another day and another poem...

Thank you for admiring this one. I enjoyed the ease of ability when it comes to the need to write it out. Writing a once a day poem has shown much insight into my different days mood. Shifting as it does often today will be an amazing one I am sure.

Kristina, you shouldn't compare your writing to others; your writing is honest, from the heart, and good. I felt the same way at first but I have found that, by reading the writing of others, I have become a better writer...maybe. Don't stop reading others, just don't compare; there is nothing wrong with yours. I hope today is a better day. John

Thanks John for the word of encouragement. As I read others work it is relevant that they have had higher education for more vocabulary and that is great for me to absorb when reading. The well written work by those who have had more experience with different observation is an opportunity I enjoy comparisons without criticism to assist in my abilities to write. Today is better thanks again for stopping by with such a wonderful comment.

oh , Kristina, you sound a bit down in some parts of this but I like the attitude shown in the ending. I really loved the imagery in last stanza first few lines. Very nice!
