Notes About The Poem

Those pigeons needed no hope to simply fly, except that the weather up there permitted them to. In bright, warm or cool blue skies, then flew amazingly and effortlessly by the innate inside of them in air.

As a proud State Certified Bridge Tender, I had the greatest opportunity to reflect, on moments that there was not the busyness of ships and boats requiring passage, and when everything else was smooth sailing. As I was gifted with moments to watch the birds flying around and about and throughout the notoriously great blue beams, which was their home, upon the Jacksonville, Florida’s Main Street Briidge, I felt all too privileged.

Watching them in their natural habitat helped getting my mind off my troubles, and talk to God throughout the day. It inspired such faith, seeing how they dipped and dove in air, much like the dolphins did beneath. Although seeing the dolphins were not as visual as the birds were. My final thought, if only, like on wings of faith, we can trust God through the pages of this tough book we call life, like these crafty birds swiftly diving within these beams.

On Wings of Faith

ON WINGS OF FAITH

Fly Milady high,
Gray skies never always be,
Up on wings of faith.
