On Top of the Mountain
On top of the mountain the eye can see
What down in the valley is hidden from thee
Down in the valley there's things that conceal
But up on the mountain there's much to reveal
When you're down in the valley of worry and woe
Taking your knocks and your licks with nowhere to go
When you're just about ready to give up on life
Because you are having so much strife
Remember those mountains you once were on
Where peace was abundant and a race was won
When the future seemed clear as a crystal stream
When you were on top of everything
Remember the One who got you there
When you humbled your knee and you said a pray
Not for a day or a week but more then a year
Now each time that you prayed it you were sincere
What has happened to faith, the faith of a child
Why has life dimmed it truth when it should of gone wild
See when your down in the valley of worry and woe
That's when your faith has its best chance to grow
Now faith without works we are told it is dead
But when it's in action those fears will have fled
So if you want to see those mountains anew
Put your faith in God then do what He tells you to do
