On This Wedding Day

In a world where love can mend all wounds, Where hope springs eternal, like blossoms in June, I find solace in the tale I now weave, Of a stepdad's love, and a mother's reprieve. Oh, how grateful I am, my heart overflows, For the union that blossoms, as love truly grows, For my stepdad, a beacon, a guiding light, Who embraced our family, with all his might. Through the trials and hard times we faced, My mother stood strong, with unwavering grace, She weathered the storms, with courage untold, And emerged from the darkness, a spirit so bold. Her heart, once shattered, now mended anew, As love found its way, and dreams started to brew, For she found in my stepdad, a love so profound, A love that lifted her from the depths, unbound. I am proud, oh so proud, of my mother's strength, For she conquered the battles, no matter the length, She faced adversity with unwavering might, And emerged as a warrior, bathed in love's light. Through the darkest nights, she held onto hope, And now, as she walks down the aisle, we elope, With joy in our hearts, and tears in our eyes, We celebrate this union, under love's skies. For my stepdad, a hero, a pillar of support, Who embraced us all, with love of every sort, He stepped into our lives, with open arms, And filled our days with laughter and charms. Together they stand, hand in hand, A testament to love, that forever will stand, And as I witness this union, my heart swells, With gratitude and love, my soul compels. So here's to my stepdad, and my mother so dear, May your love be eternal, forever sincere, I am grateful beyond words, for this love so true, And proud of my mother, for finding love anew.
