On the Way To School

As I was walking down the road I saw an ugly fat brown toad He said don’t stand upon a nick They say you’ll turn into a stick I screwed my face up in distaste And ran away in confused haste There sitting on a wall Was a short little man with bat and ball He said don’t run you may just trip You’ll scuff your knees and bite your lip I gave my head a little dip Then skipped all the way to school.
