On The Stage
You assume that you are on the correct path, you assume that destiny will lead you out of the dark; you assume that I can read your body language; you assume that I know your figurative meaning, you have strangers in your midst and a chilling reality will face you soon and you have to plough your way through before noon; you alone will have to face the music and they will sit and watch how you dance to it. The roof is porous but a dog never plays the same trick twice least he hurt its pride. The sun peeps through the clouds and fills the space around me and my spirit began grows and silence fills the room and for one brief moment, I could see it clearly. He stands on the open stage and stares blankly at me, his mouth was moving as if he was trying to say something to me, but he suddenly shifted the gaze and start pacing all over the place. I watched him sighed deeply with courage in his hand and ambition pushing him along. I wasn’t sure what he was thinking but he was reciting something with great meaning, he had a pile of paper in his hand flipping them one by one, and occasionally highlighting some lines. He looked smart and intelligent but substance was lacking from head and his youthfulness exposes his weakness. The morning dragged on and the heat spreads through the street, I watch the people come and go as they prepare for the big evening show. He took over the entire stage looking beyond the fourth wall try to connect with his eyes. I see something that he didn’t see and I was trying to communicate it to him but he was too far in his conscious mind searching for something new that couldn’t breakthrough and the audience looked at him in awe. You assume that I know something about you but I know that your shoe is black and it is smaller, than your normal shoe size; someone must have exchanged it when you roll the dice, meet at the same spot at five.
