On the Menu

I'd rather be alone
Than be in a home
Where judgment is served for dinner
As starving hearts get thinner and thinner

I'd rather speak TRUTH
Though it costs me innocence of youth

I'd rather be drenched in peace
Where I follow without a fleece
Knowing LOVE has me kept
In a home purely swept

...clean, from lies that cling

However, on the menu today
Is being present in every single way
Not allowing harsh words to sway
LOVE that never fails...so, I will stay

...where I am placed.
