On the Front Line
Hearts and souls on the front line
Baits in battle to our enemies
Driven to excess emotions of fight and flight
Back to the hum drum of 9-5 wouldnt you try and hide?
Their old jobs gone with no war
however they are greatful for the reprieve
That job is still not our normal every day life
That job is to serve their country and queen
The rest of us get up because we have to go to
Or because we work
Or because we cant sleep we feel bad
Yet imagine the life of that soldier
Battered Bruised to contempt
To the brink
Emotions charged violence and war
How many times do they have to tell you
It's Peace not War
Yet brains are fragile emotions are high
They come back in their coffins from the sky
Brothers and Sisters in Arms
So Brave so Bold
How and what a story could be sold
Be strong x
