On the Edge of Yourself

The way ahead don't look so clear An unknown path brings you fear You can't feel nothing but pain Sunshine is gone, just more rain Life's true love you won't pervert Just push back so you can't hurt Pleasures known so well to you Now escape your grasp askew On the edge of yourself Not a good place to live On the edge of yourself With nothing left to give Walking a fine gray line Between hope and despair On the edge of yourself With little left to spare On your darkness night There's still one ray of light Clearly still shining through Your man who so loves you From your pain he won't hide Loving not just the beautiful side For he looks deep in your soul Seeing a princess never old On the edge of yourself Not a good place to live On the edge of yourself With nothing left to give Walking a fine gray line Between hope and despair On the edge of yourself Cling to the one who cares
