On the Bridge Too Far

The distance to you where you are,
spans too wide on the bridge too far.

I run the distance, yet, still I see,
There's more stretched out ahead of me.

Too far the bridge, too long to cross,
unless your wings to me you toss!

I love the last line. ...you already have the wings. Your pen colors them well. Your words fly far, reaching hearts of many#7

Oh, Edward, thank you! You honor me. But every good gift comes from God. So if I have a speck of talent, I thank Him for it. Without Him, I can do nothing. I'm new here and making new friends. I hope I can consider you one of them. So now I am going to your site and read some of your poems. :)

Longing for what's been lost to us. Sometimes, it could be our own selves. This hit hard for me. Very nicely done!

Thanks for taking the time to comment, Drake. I hear what you're saying! The Bible says we know now only in part....
