On the Beach

On the Beach
Dr. James E. Martin

Once here I come alive,
Never would I my emotions deprive.

Thrilled am I to enjoy the sun.
Happiness is that from which I’ll not run,
Eventually, however, this day will be done.

Beautiful is this place - beyond compare,
Even a moment here I cannot spare.
All should come and with each other share,
Call me crazy if you dare,
Home will be better when I finally get there.
