On Pondering Poetry

I do not wish to be pompous nor to define,
Whose quill is more divine!

Each poem is soul fruit from a unique experience.
That dances and whirls on the toes of time.

Someone's heart is in each poem.
Don't, I plea, let it stand alone!

It's light rays may brighten even the darkest soul.
So lift and elevate others, truly a most loving goal!

Hi Line! Thank you for visiting today...Almost midnight and love the amber flicker of my space heater. Yes, I was surprised to find me in the Anthology. Better to have you glad that I am in it and many others. I haven't even gone through it, Line. Too busy writing new poems daily. I am limited in the number of hours I spend here..my eyes can't take it, alas. Hope you are doing well. Cannot believe I have been here a little over two years! Blessings from CA! Hugs, Pangie xx

Pangie, if I could, I would nominate this for POTD or POTW for it defines what I believe are the objectives of Soup: 1) to write poems from our unique perspective ("soul fruit", I love it!) 2) to lighten the path of the darkened soul, and 3) to lift and elevate other writers, and all done with humility. I love your dancing line and everything else about this - going straight to my faves! Hugs ~ John
