On Personal Responsibility
On Personal Responsibility
By Elton Camp
When Godzilla rises from the sea
In mortal danger, Tokyo will be
Because he is so filled with rage
He goes on a destructive rampage
He brings violence to them all
Mighty skyscrapers will fall
People stomped under his feet
Even armies he is able to defeat
Godzilla wishes that some man
His problem could understand
With terror he’s forced to reign
Due to inward, gnawing pain
Poor Godzilla was neglected as a child
Dad lizard’s negligence makes him wild
Thus, periodically he must gain relief
Even if it brings many others to grief
Society, as a whole, should feel shame
For his actions, others are to blame
For the Boston bomber it's the same
Show him mercy is the lawyer's claim
The things he did weren't okay
But others sent him on that way
