On My Own Forever

This is truly an imaginary piece
thinking of myself on earth alone
no one else is left living anywhere
not a sound heard not even a groan

No electricity, gas, or any such resources
glad I've blankets to wrap around
the summer's ok but winter's awful
it's so eery not even heard a sound

I would go to the U.S. or Australia
just to get some sun and heat
but no means of travel to anywhere
anywhere I can go is on two feet

I've still got some fertile ground
so can grow veg and a few fruit
enough to keep going at least for now
thankfully things grow from the root

My health is amazingly so very good
I've thought about this that I won't die
but if I do there's nobody to bury me
on my own forever, I can only ask why?

(This came about when thinking what if I could live forever but everyone else had left earth by death and I was the only one left)

Hello Gordon, this is something to ponder. What if you are the last person on the earth? i find that a scary thought. Blessings my friend.

Thanks Darlene, Glad you liked it but thankfully it was only some imaginary thoughts of such a plight. Have a blessed day, Gordon
