On Eagle's Wings

On eagle’s wings let me rise up
Let me rise up to Thee
Oh, let me see Your holy face
Though only a human I be

On eagle’s wings, Lord let me fly
Let me soar through the presence of You
Please grant me just this one request
This one request will do.

On eagle’s wings let me feel you
When it’s time to breathe my last breath
Then on angel’s wings, Lord, bare me up
As I drink from the cup of death

When it comes to the end of this life for me
And I can’t fly of my own accord.
Still bare me up on Your angel’s wings
Bare me up, to be with You oh, Lord
