On Being Soulful

On Being Soulful

Spiritual moments
on being soulful
find their certain
metaphysical aspects
when one seeks a
deeper meaning
and a sense
of true joy,
by connecting
with one’s soul
that lies at the
very core of all
human beings
and their
individual existence
on this
physical entity,
we all call
and know, as—
Our Mortal Earth,
Our Mother Earth.

Thinking about
and truly
understanding the
special elements,
and the wholly
transcendental nature
of one’s self-ego,
whilst mastering
the spiritual art
of self-reflection,
whereby—
one finds
His or Her
true ethereal sense
and begins
to see
Mortal Life
entirely unfettered,
and without any
human falsities
and obvious
facades of deceit—
that speak directly
to the
essence of
balance and harmony,
and the
true cosmic
passion and purpose
of the
spirit of soulfulness.

It’s this
that brings
all of us
in the end
closer to
God’s Kingdom
and to
Almighty God Himself.

Amen.

Hello MLK!! Appreciate your read and note here. (I've been away actively from posting any new poems this year as I am presently in the middle of a review of a 500-page manuscript, which is my new book (second book) of poetry. I will be in touch though and back with the Soup after my new book is published later this year!!) Cheers and Best, Gary

Hi Gary! I'm so glad I decided to check out your poetry today because this one is so beautiful and I don't know if it's for a contest but it's a winner for sure or would make a great POTD in my opinion. Such a wonderful philosophy filled with truth. FAVED.

Hello Carole, Many Thanks for your read of this particular Verse poem, and for your most gracious comments, and for the FAVE too!! No, this one was not done for any Poetry Soup contest nor did it achieve the POTD or POTW acclamation. Be that as it may, it will certainly appear in my second book of published poetry that will be released to the public later this year. (This why I've not been actively posting anything else since December2018.) Thanks Again!! Best Wishes Always, Gary

Seems like a strong and deep way to to get in touch and stay in touch which seems to be to be our deepest self and most important. Reading a good book The Hidden Face of God, Gerald Schroeder science and the eternal. Interesting. Seems like a few of us are or have been dealing with cancer. Hope David can get some good answers, it is a hard journey to take.

I choose soulful over sorrowful every time Gary especially as I am about to find out on Tuesday how treatable my cancer is. Your poem timely and written in right vein. My recent poem a right carry on sums up my feelings. don't think it is my time to go yet but I hold no fear or rancour. Regards DAVID

I hope you can find the kind of help you need and peace of mind needed to deal with it. Been dealing with a rare cancer for 3 years, 2 years longer than expected, good and bad aspects. Take care.

Hello David, I am very sorry to hear about your cancer condition. I, too, had my go-around with (prostate) cancer during 2010-11, which certainly had my undivided attention. All is better now, but one never knows for sure. Soulful is better than Sorrowful any day. I must take a read of your most recent poem. (I've been away from Poetry Soup since this last December since I'm working my the final manuscript of my upcoming second book.) Best Wishes, Gary
