On Being Liberal
The mere fact
That what people call truth
Can be a mere fact;
An assumption
Is a prove
That the truth
Can only be revealed
When all facts
Are thoroughly examined
And when all facts
Including all acts
Both those that happened
Near and far
The near acts and far acts; all facts
Are seen in black and white
And when all men;
Black and white
Can see things liberally
Until then, nothing can ever be right
Not even if I write
Exercising my right
Of expression
Using my right
I mean, my right hand
Making a composition
About my own life
And how right
Or wrong
I have been
In my daily living
I might still not be right
If all facts
Aren't brought out
So the truth itself, can come out
Then, more Floyds will be killed
For George was not brought
To a judge
Instead, George's killers judged George
And their judgement
I guess
Was based only
On the colour of his skin
And even that
My guess I mean
Might still not be right
