On Ashen Sands and Violet Skies

On Ashen Sands And Violet Skies

Hues of ashen sands meet violet skies,
An azure horizon in their midst lies,
Bound in natures quiet spell,
Drinking in the divine beauty as well,
Transfixed I sit by my window sill,
Captured in the web of quiet thrill,
As I serenely sit by,
Venus dips lower in the sky,
As the hues subside I see it glow,
It’s Orion both of us know,
Then in the tranquil sky I sense a stir,
As I spot a new glimmer in her,
As it becomes clearer to the eyes,
I wonder if it’s a drone sent by spies,
It shines its unique light on me,
Trying to say something I see,
As it now rises and grows dimmer,
I hear mother call for dinner,
It’s mystery still lies in my heart,
As I try to express it in my art....

It’s mystery still lies in my heart, As I try to express it in my art.... These are elegant lines, my friend. The sentiment of all poets. Nicely inked. Good luck in the contest. JC Hawkens

Thank you so much for your support. I am often captivated by the sky and the stars. So I thought that it would be a good idea to write on my favourite topic. Thanks again for the wishes. Rashi
