On a Playful Spree
I was maybe two or, possibly, three
When I tossed our cat into the deep well
As a toddler, I was on a playful spree.
I am certain everyone would now agree
My reasoning, it would be hard to tell,
I was maybe two or, possibly, three.
I was much too young, as anyone can see,
To think it anything other than swell
As a toddler, I was on a playful spree.
And I suppose I enjoyed a certain glee,
Before my mother snapped the spell
I was maybe two or, possibly, three.
As the story goes, I was just being me
And I did not seem to notice the smell,
As a toddler, I was on a playful spree.
A thinking lad would set the kitten free
Not drop it into the drinking water well,
I was maybe two or, possibly, three
As a toddler, I was on a playful spree.
