On a Passing Cloud, There Floats a Dream
On a passing cloud, there floats a dream…
With a prayer to God declaring my faith-anchored commitment:
To live for Him by His strengthening enforcement
And to triumph against pride’s engulfment
While surrendering my all to His empowerment.
On a passing cloud, there floats a dream…
With a message to God that expresses my spiritual choice:
To delight in His Word as well as hear His heart-stirring voice
So I can fight enticements of vanity’s noise
In my pursuit to glorify Him with honorable poise.
On a passing cloud, there floats a dream…
With a request to God that He supplies me His provision
Along with His contentment and satisfaction
As I worship Him earnestly filled with praises’ jubilation
Exalting His name midst my gratefulness and adoration.
On a passing cloud, there floats a dream…
With a plea to God that He frees me from toil-anguish
As I work well midst temptations that make me languish
And labor with diligence by His grace I can’t diminish
To shine, reflecting His light no one could extinguish.
On a passing cloud, there floats a dream…
With a thanksgiving to God* Who deserves my service-purity
Thus, I cling to His salvation-security
While refraining from indulging in laxity
In exerting my best efforts to fulfill His entrusted duty.
*Psalm 69:30 I will praise the name of God with a song, and will magnify him with thanksgiving.
