On a Day Like Today Reversed Poulter's Measure
On a day like today
the harsh Spring wind blows through my hair,
as the tree branches sway
birds in the distance chirp loudly.
I look for a retreat
to get away from the cold wind,
with my face, the rain meets
the birds love this kind of weather.
I didn't have a hat
wind blows, cold rain drips down my neck,
run to house like a cat
the April rain, brings the flowers.
