Old Wooden Boat
Down the river I flow
In a rocky old wooden boat
Followed by a crow or two
Looking for crumbs I set afloat
Trying to catch a fish or two
In a rocky old wooden boat
Belly’s growling ain’t eaten
In many a day dry is the throat
Jugs just about bone dry
In a rocky old wooden boat
Rest of the world flows by
Is anybody there cast me a coat
Suns beaten down skins getting dry
In a rocky old wooden boat
Mirages coming faster buzzards on high
No one to save me in this forsaken moat.
