Old School Days

(Dedication: For the people that I went to school with, Class of 1971, SJI, Singapore.) This Acrostic poem reads: "SJI Our Class of SeventyOne" ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ So many years have flown away, Joy streams right here as dawn flings play, Ink stains once clear hark to old days. Once way back when school days did tell, Urge of bright dreams forged pursuits grand; Rich moments then brought fond ground swell. Choice in swift streams each did attend, Life spoke to each a purpose sure, Apt voice did give to matters bright; Sights within reach in impulse pure, Such poise to live vocation right. Opt thus to be your poignant fate, Free will to fund the flight of flair. Sought just to see early not late, Each to greet fun in vital air; Vet now the years of toils and cares, Enlist and stay the course and path; Notes that endear our crucial fares, Touch well and pray with work enough; Yield to love's call as hope works maze. One by one fit to mellow cheer, Now sweet and gall bring happy craze; Embrace fond wit with fest right here. Leon Enriquez 29 July 2017 Singapore
