I'm reminded of a song by A Fine Frenzy... "Like a shell upon the beach, just another pretty piece, but you picked me, yeah, you picked me". I like the hidden metaphor in L3... many different interpretations.

yeah, it's usually practice for me too. But you can see many poets getting better here all the time, donna!! Just keep reading. Check out Kashinath. He is someone who has really grown in his haiku style since he first started here.
