Old Memories

The light blue mountain sky reminds me of old memories,
playing in the waves on the beach shore,
or seeing who can win the checkers game back at Papas.

I remember the taste of honey as my parents gave me a spoonful every year for my birthday, and how exited I was to receive my first medal, gleeming in the bright, beautiful sun.

Oh, how I will miss those days, but new and better ones await you. All you need my friends, is patience.

I'm a musician trying to become a songwriter. I sing and play many instruments such as the piano, French horn, recorder, and a little drums. Poetry brings me one step closer to becoming a songwriter. Thank you to all who will encourage me to do my best, and I hope I encourage you all in return. Thanks so much!
