Old Man

When a man is young, "I will live forever!" So is said within his heart But as a man grows wise with age Those childish fancies fall apart For now the old man stands Upon the lonely barren shore Standing in the place Where all the dead have stood before Gazing out into the blue Whilst closing of the night Grasping for his fading dreams All waning with the light
