Old Dirt Road

Down the old dirt road where we used to hold hands, now I walk alone and afraid looking at my wedding band. I don't want to walk down this road without you, tears fill my eyes my days feel so blue. God had called you home in your sleep late one night, when I awoke in the morning my heart was filled with fright. How will I be able to go on? Sadness fills my heart, knowing for the rest of my life we will always be apart. Tears slip down my cheeks looking at pictures of you and I, you used to hold me tightly wiping the tears from my eyes. Now I walk alone and afraid loking at my wedding band, down the old dirt road where we used to hold hands.
