Old

It is dark and cold
In a heart that is old
Lifes lessons, weighing.
you down
No one around
Thinking on days gone bye
As a tear falls from your eye
What binds left to tie
love that was lost
A cold heart was what it cost
No one around
Silence has a loud sound
Ringing in your head
Don't want to go to bed
It gets worse
This curse
Peace and happiness a dream long gone
Always wondering what went wrong
Pain and anger hides down deep
Memories of yesterday won't let you sleep
Just weep
A woman that you miss
Her touch , her kiss
The big lie
Long after she did die
Still you cry
Till death do you part
That doesn't take them from your heart
Memories last long after
The laughter
Time doesn't heal
For it doesn't feel
Ready for the end of the rhyme
My time
Memories , silent echoes of times gone by
They sometimes make you cry
Did your best
But ready for that final rest
