Oil Spill

Worst oil spill ever
I thought these people
were more clever!

They are so smart
that they take no advice
But we are the ones who suffer
when they raise our gas price!

With their oil on our shores
they have now become slick and filthy
At each other they point the finger
but to me they're all guilty!

While even our wildlife
is drenched in oil
It continues to
contaminate our soil!

With hundreds of citations
and regulations put aside
Our enviroment and our health
will continue to plunder, not only here
but in all nations world wide...

These things are tragic, and it is alway the most innocent the animals that suffer, Edward. Great write, Agape, Moses

This disaster is going to have far reaching effects, and we've only begun to see them. This is a timely poem. Thank you for sharing it. Karen

This tragedy has impacted so many people and their livelihoods already, Edward. AWESOME poem here!!! The oil spill seems to be on my mind day and night -- keep dreaming about wildlife coated in oil. Once the spill is plugged, there is a ray of hope on the horizon. Check out my blog about the technology being developed under Kevin Costner's guidance. Right now, I'll cling to any hope that emerges. Love, Carolyn
