Oh World I See

Oh, world I see

As the flames of life engulf me

Do you ensnare my passion and dreams

or push me to this brink of insanity

As my breath shortens and my pace quickens

At the end I see the decimation

The scars, the cuts, the holes, the death

My life all lead up to this, the end

I may give, I may break

But not without a fight, I’ll stake

this what you tried to take

My heart is mine to give and mine to share

So for you and you and him and her I’ll bare

Who I am or who I’ll be

For everything this world breaks and hurts

It still will never take me.
