Oh Well, It's Not Wrong To Dream

Oh well, it’s not wrong to dream You came along when my heart it was reeling Broken in two on the ground Touched me in ways that I can’t recall feeling Somehow my smile had been found I read your words when my thoughts were insisting I’d be forever alone Nothing would change of this sadness consisting Of every hurt I had known And there you were with your hair dark and flowing Eyes so enchantingly free Skin as a warm summer day gently glowing How could this happen to me Within your verses I felt a connection Deeply caressing my soul Lines filled with love and a wondrous affection Seems I am losing control Lost in a trance of desire and passion Sharing an amorous kiss Held in your arms in a euphoric fashion Endless this feeling of bliss Still I do know that it’s all just deceiving Nothing is what it might seem Even if I cannot help but believing Oh well, it’s not wrong to dream Alas, you were wrong. : )

This is beautiful, Chris. I loved not only the content but the flowing rhythm which immediately had me reading the words to a melody!

Thanks so much Wendy. I did write this with a certain melody running through my mind so I am happy it touched you that way
