Oh To Be Young Again

Oh to be young again
To climb and hang from trees
Just another day of being 10
Falling and scuffing my knees

Oh to be young again
Playing football all day in the park
Calling on my favourite friends
Straight home as soon as it gets dark

Oh to be young again
No responsibilities or expectations
Using any debris to build a den
No anti social temptations

Oh to be young again
So I can appreciate the simpler times
No need to have the latest trend
Playing football despite no ball signs

Our parents told told us over and over
Enjoy these times whilst we can
If only we weren't in such rush
We would have had way more fun!
