Oh Tired Moon

Oh Tired Moon

Oh tired moon, won’t you take me away?
Far away from the troubled day.
Won’t you please chart me a course
and please help me find the source
of how I went so wrong
and how the day can seem so long.
Oh sleepy moon why must you go so fast?
Why doesn’t the darkness last
just a little bit longer?
Why aren’t I a little bit stronger?
How can I find the strength to show
how much my heart continues to grow?
Oh tired and sleepy moon, I know you must run.
For you are always chased away by the sun.
But know you bring me comfort each night
For I am alone and you still bring me light.
