Oh, Tell Me a Story

Oh, tell me a story of romance, my friend,
Of kisses, caresses, and hugs that don't end.
For I've been a warrior and giver of death,
And too many times have I seen that last breath.
I long for the peace that I see in your eyes,
And the laughter and good will that comes from the wise.
I dreamed in the rain of blue eyes and fair hair,
And the breath of an angel, sweet and so rare.
Oh, tell me of blue eyes and where they may be -
And then let the breath of an angel transport me.
