Oh So Lonely

I sit here. I sit here on the floor and wonder, Where are you? I saw you this morn, You rushed past me, And i felt your leg, As it brushed across my body, And you ran for the door. I am alone. I have always been alone, Since the day i was born, Then placed in this home. Torn, Away from warmth and love. But you! You are my heart. My best friend. My saviour. The one i adore. But now where are you? Your smell has been gone, for far too long, And as much as my tiny paws Claw and claw, I don't hear your footsteps anymore.
