Listen to poem:
It's here I dump my thoughtful odes The words unchecked As brain downloads This snow white Electric paper faux Is where my heart-felt Ravings go I tap, delete I type and scroll Construct a rhyme Pithy and droll The black on ivory Stark and crude To deeper feelings Will allude So as this self Effacing track Develops with it's Clicky clack I meditate On all before Invite them in As if by door To life and love To hope and loss To friendships, new To birth or cross With thankful heart And no disdane For poet's muse Doth still remain

Hi yet again Sam, another exceptional write. I do believe you, to be the master of the short snappy poems where every line makes absolute sense and rhymes, we all know how difficult that can be, it's just perfect. ( I'm taking up knitting) Lol, seriously I absolutely love your style and humour. Danny

Dear Sam, I always look forward to reading new gems from you so it’s great to see you posting. I love the narration too as yours words come alive. The quotes are great as well. This is such a wonderful, reflective read and as dear Inky says, will resonate with many. I found it so touching and poignantly written from a true poet. I especially love, ‘ The black on ivory’. Great imagery. Also the last two stanza’s ’For poet’s muse ‘’ Doth still remain’ So enjoyed reading this.

Yes it remains somewhere deep within and can see that through this seamless write! I was wondering why i do not see you posting or on soup anymore. Its good to see you post this very resonating poem, sometimes when you let the muse do the writing, thats when you deliver one soul touching! Loved this and the quotes too, sending you light always

Hey there Inky pal x I guess poetry is like the tides.. it waxes and wanes with the pull of the moon, or the rotation of the Earth. Poets too need to regather, recoup and recharge.. thank you for your kind affirmations as always.. Blessings S :)x
