Oh No, Surely Not Again
Oh, No, Surely Not Again
By Elton Camp
She thought they did everything right
Both babies one and two were a delight
But this one is just so totally unplanned
What happened, she just can’t understand
Usual precautions they were sure to take
This surely must be some testing mistake
But “Pregnant” is the word it does say
A life-changing event is now underway
Her health problems increased of late
This complication she surely does hate
Financially, they are barely getting by
Needs of another, how can they supply
Their relationship is already shaky at best
Their marriage will be put to a severe test
He refuses to help with kids & house now
This won’t cause him to change somehow
But termination is far beyond her belief
As it would destroy with guilt and grief
For this family, friction and strife lie ahead
She stares in dismay at the word she read
