Notes About The Poem

Oh, Mother Mine

scatterer of blooms
on the green everywhere lanes
mother of colors

in dark yellow dawn
or purple pansy dusk robed
in butterfly swarms

mother by blue lakes
in a green fascinator
with dragonfly queen

oh mother of song
fresh from saffron southern skies
moonlight's in your hair
