Bless your Ocho Rios soul, D. Lines! Ty for sharing this beautiful ballad w/us dirt po' souls. True love is a lost island idyllic commodity. May it again wash up upon your beach sandal shore. Fabulous poetry by an uber talented poet. Love and more love always.

Jamaica sounds like something from a lost and special era. This is like a song in the making.

Thank you for reading OH JAMAICA, I wrote it while sitting on my yacht in English Harbor, Antigua, missing my lady friend whom I called Jamaica since her color was like Jamaican coffee. We sailed together through the islands until a Brit saw her and made her a modeling offer she couldn't refuse. I've since tried putting music to the poem but the muses haven't blessed me yet with the appropriate notes.
