Oh Grandma's Love

Street lights glowing, snow flakes flying. The crisp air so cold, the presence of love bold. The next bend in the road, a story of love yet to unfold. Coal smoke fues filled the air, a smell I still now find so rare. Christmas lights flickering nigh I gasp at glimpses with sighs. My so near grandma's house, anticipations, warm and snuggling. She with arms held out, lovingly awaits my presence. My anticipation rises, of the unexpected surprises. With the night senary glowing, still the soft snow flakes blowing. Linda Terrell December 16, 2009 Holidays sometimes bring memories of fun of days gone by My grandma is tucked neatly away in my childhood memories When we would visit, when she just had to give us her special love.

My Grandmom passed onto the other side years ago at age 68 and she was and is sorely missed and today is her birthday so the words just came to me to write for her.. my first name Linda-Marie ..the Marie was taken from her name, Nicola Marie, and my Mom's name was Maria so we just passed the name down.. since I have four boys I could not pass it to them and my sister has no children as yet... glad u liked it as I did yours.. luv..
