Oh God, I Don'T Remember
I said I wanted a hamburger
If that is what you are making.
You brought me something on a bun.
When I wanted eggs and bacon!
You said, "You don't remember?"
I called you on the telephone.
Asked to whom you want to speak,
"I didn't call," you tell me.
"Don't do it again, you freak!"
BUT, I don't remember!
I asked you for the newspaper.
You brought it to me quick,
You said I could read it through,
I asked if it's a trick?
I just don't remember!
Someone is knocking at the door.
I bet it is my wife.
it's my son he tells me,
He's been here all his life.
But, I don't remember!
What is this world coming to
Is it June or is it September?
I ask myself each and every day
I really don't remember!
Oh God, please help me,
I just don't remember!
