Oh Fate
We grow up together, simple and fair
But we fawn over leaving, "Oh how life is bare!"
We think to ourselves, "One day I'll be out of here!"
Yet our ignorance spoon feeds us, into the mouth of fear.
Oh fate! How you promised bliss,
yet this is not at all
Why do you trick me mischievously?
Is it just to see me fall?
We grieve in woe; for our fortune is unfortunate,
For freedom isn't free
What's this price to pay? The cost? Bring life back to me!
Oh fate! Your tale-telling lies! You spin the yarn of life!
We believe you and pass through, our ego tells us we are right.
But we mustn't be, for this cannot be real
Our lives torn apart, and unto the spinning wheel.
Back to fate, we go; home to the ferocious beast
To hear more fairy tales pass through our ears,
"Ignorance is bliss!" It makes us plead!
